The RMU’s are installed in a retail store, at a traffic termini or any other center where the owner is willing to lease the unused space in the center for a retailing operation. The RMU’s entail no cost to the store owner with RPEL providing all the necessary services. These services include determination of SRL locations based on architectural drawings, electrical supply, traffic patterns and permanent storefront openings; creation of customized SRL programme based on evaluation of the center’s merchandising operations, target consumers, trends and seasonal needs; solicitation, prospecting, and qualifying of SRL merchants for approval by center management or owner representative; standard merchant signage on the RMU to assure programme consistency; formulation of visual merchandising plans for SRL merchant to assure high visual standards; handling the accounts of the SRL merchant regarding his dues payable to store owner / management, actual income etc; programme management on a day to day basis by professional RPEL personnel to monitor visual standards and to ensure that merchants are meeting operational standards. In short RPEL connects the store management with the merchant and provides all relevant services.

The lease is executed on the terms of the store owner and creates a steady flow of income to him without any investment, overheads or administration by the center owners, management or staff. The store management has near total control over the RMU – regarding the identity of the merchant to the kind of merchandise sold. The merchant direct access to customers without having to go through the processes of advertising and establishing specialist retail stores which are expensive and do not get direct exposure to the public eye.
